Introduction

Our three-day safari is the perfect way to unwind after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, blending adventure, wildlife, and comfort as you explore Tarangire National Park and the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. Departing from Moshi, you’ll travel to Tarangire, known for its sweeping landscapes, baobab trees, and large elephant herds. Enjoy an afternoon game drive spotting lions, zebras, and giraffes, with a picnic lunch in the park, before an overnight stay at a lodge.

The next morning, head out on an early game drive before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, staying near the crater rim with stunning views. On day three, descend into the crater, home to elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, and rare black rhino, with lunch by the hippo pools before returning to Arusha for your final night.

On day four, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey, ideally with a later departure.

Our three-day safari offers the perfect combination of adventure, wildlife, and comfort, exploring two of Tanzania’s most famous national parks: Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater.

You’ll depart from your hotel in Moshi and travel directly to Tarangire National Park, known for its sweeping landscapes, majestic baobab trees, and large elephant herds. Spend the afternoon on a game drive through the park, spotting lions, zebras, giraffes, and countless other species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. As evening falls, settle into your lodge inside Tarangire, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and watch the sunset across the savannah, a true African experience.

The following morning begins with coffee at sunrise before heading out on a morning game drive when the wildlife is most active. Later in the day, you’ll travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at your lodge near the crater rim in time to unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening with spectacular views of the surrounding highlands.

On day three, you’ll descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable wildlife destinations in Africa. The crater floor is home to an incredible diversity of animals, including elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, and even the rare black rhino. You’ll spend the day exploring this natural wonder before stopping for lunch by the hippo pools, where you can relax and take in the unique atmosphere. In the afternoon, you’ll drive back to Tumbili Lodge in Arusha for your final night in Tanzania, surrounded by beautiful gardens and playful monkeys.

You're in for one of the best safari experiences you can have on your guided game drive through Ngorongoro Crater. As you explore the crater floor, your guide will help you look for lions, black rhinos, spotted hyenas and so much more.
